A Novel Wavelet Packet Transform-Fuzzy Pattern Recognition-Based Method for Leakage Fault Diagnosis of Sail Slewing Hydraulic System

When the wind direction changes, rotating sail to keep it at optimal angle of attack can effectively utilize offshore resources improve ship’s energy efficiency. The hydraulic system usually drives slewing onboard. functioning, as well safety will be directly affected in case leakage failure occurs. Therefore, fault diagnosis is essential sail-assisted effect reliability system. In this paper, a novel wavelet packet transform (WPT)–fuzzy pattern recognition (FPR) based method proposed. order analyze different features system, simulation model established, and its effectiveness verified by testbed. Then, sensitive feature flow pressure signal for faults extracted WPT-based method. On basis, an FPR-based results show that proposed has accuracy 94% nine modes. This work contributes realizing greenization shipping industry improving utilization rate resources.
